Online classes empower you to complete coursework for your career advancement without taking time away from your job. Moreover, you can access online classes from anywhere with an internet connection.

One of the greatest advantages of pursuing an online education is the flexibility to set your own schedule. You can plan when to attend class, ensuring you meet important deadlines. Enrolling in an online program fosters self-discipline and focus on your tasks. This increased responsibility can refine your self-discipline and motivation skills.

Additionally, online classrooms provide the opportunity to meet and learn from people who do not live near you. Thanks to online forums and videos, you can participate in discussions at any time and from any location.

The MIMSE online courses have the same content, requirements, and academic rigor as our on-campus courses. Class lectures from on-campus courses are captured, digitized, and uploaded for you to access anytime and anywhere. However, you must follow the on-campus class schedule for submitting homework and taking exams. Additionally, course assignments, lecture notes, and handouts are available to you on the course website. IMSEI PRO TIP: All in-class exams must be proctored.

Master of Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering (MIMSE Online)

The MIMSE online degree gives you the academic background to understand and implement modern manufacturing technology. This program is multidisciplinary and includes courses from many different departments. With our flexible format, you can design a study plan that meets your specific needs and interests.

First, one notable feature of our program is that you must complete an industry-related project. Second, you have wide flexibility in choosing the courses for your degree. This flexibility allows you to customize your degree according to your goals. Most of our online students work full-time and usually take one or two courses each semester, including summers. Since the program requires nine lecture courses, you typically take two or three years to complete the degree. Also, our online students often choose project topics related to their work activities.

Curriculum

The on-campus program requires you to complete 27 credits of courses and six credits of project work. Additionally, here are suggested curricula for several popular areas of concentration:

Prerequisite Information

The multi-disciplinary nature of the MIMSE degree program may create challenges for you. Specifically, you might find it difficult to take graduate-level courses in fields different from your undergraduate degree. In most cases, the prerequisites for the graduate courses listed in the Graduate Catalog are only suggestions. These suggestions help you determine if you have taken similar courses. If you have any questions about your background, you should contact the instructor for guidance.
