Degree Progress and Minors | FAQ | NC State IMSEI

To change your degree status or curriculum, follow these steps:

• Fill out the Form: Complete the Change of Degree Status or Curriculum Form for the Graduate School.
• Submit the Form: Sign the form and send it to the IMSEI Program Assistant Bill Irwin at wjirwin@ncsu.edu.
• Letters of Recommendation: Arrange for three appropriate individuals to submit Letters of Recommendation and accompanying forms directly to IMSEI Program Assistant Bill Irwin at wjirwin@ncsu.edu.
• Provide Additional Documents: Submit a new Statement of Purpose and the IMSEI Supplemental Questions to the IMSEI Program Assistant Bill Irwin at wjirwin@ncsu.edu.
• For International Students: If applicable, complete the OIS Change in Curriculum/Level/Co-Major Request Form and send it to Bill Irwin at wjirwin@ncsu.edu. The IMSEI Director will sign it.

Email the IMSEI Program Assistant, Bill Irwin, at wjirwin@ncsu.edu with the following details:

• Your Name
• Student ID Number
• Subject Line: Reset PoW

The Graduate Office will reset your Plan of Work (PoW), allowing you to make changes and resubmit it for approval.

• Review the OIS guidelines and requirements carefully. Complete and sign the RCL request form, then submit it to the IMSEI Program Assistant Bill Irwin at wjirwin@ncsu.edu. Ensure that your Plan of Work (PoW) is approved before submitting the RCL request. Additionally, confirm that you are only enrolled in the courses listed on your PoW for the current semester.

• Complete a Minor Declaration Form and bring it to your minor advisor for approval. After approval, your advisor will send the form to Registration & Records.
• Your minor audit will appear under “Degree Audit” in MyPack and will be noted on your official transcript when your degree is conferred.
