Accepted Admission FAQ
After you receive an offer of admission to one of our graduate programs, the program will assign you to an interim academic advisor. Once we receive your intent to enroll, you will get an email from the IMSE Program Office. You can then consult with your academic advisor if you have any questions about coursework, specialty areas or which courses to take to meet degree requirements.
You will receive your 9-digit NC State Student ID Number from the Graduate School after submitting your online application and paying the application processing fee. For more information on Unity and Campus IDs, refer to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) website. You will get your Unity ID and password details in your final admission letter from the Graduate School. The decision letter will be available through the online application. To access it, log in using the application password and the personal identification number (PIN) you received by email when your application account was created.
Each semester, before enrollment opens for the upcoming semester, you will see an Enrollment Advising Hold in your MyPack Portal. The IMSE Program Office must clear this hold before you can access the online course registration system. Be sure to contact your advisor about your coursework. For more details on how and when to enroll in courses, read the Registration and Records Registration Information.
You must submit complete official transcripts from each college and university you attended to the Graduate School before your first semester. If your transcripts are not on file by the end of the first semester, you may not be allowed to register for the second semester.
